Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 26, 2025
Public Findings (“we”, “us”) runs this website to host exploratory public surveys and discussion. This policy describes how we handle personal information when you use publicfindings-njon1bsw9-nates-projects-8548d7e9.vercel.app (the “Service”).
Information we collect
- Account data. If you sign in, we process your email address and account identifiers through our authentication provider (Supabase). We use this to secure your account and associate studies you create with your profile.
- Study and response data. When you create or participate in surveys, we store the content you submit (for example, answers and discussion posts) as needed to operate the Service and display aggregated results.
- Technical data. Like most sites, our hosting and infrastructure may process IP addresses, device information, and logs for security, reliability, and abuse prevention.
How we use information
We use the information above to provide and improve the Service, authenticate users, display public study pages and results, communicate about your account when necessary, and comply with law. We do not sell your personal information.
Analytics
If you choose “Accept analytics” in our cookie banner, we load Vercel Analytics to understand aggregate traffic and performance (for example, page views). If you choose “Essential only”, we do not load this analytics script. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage as needed for authentication sessions and (with your consent) analytics. See our Cookie Policy.
Service providers
We rely on subprocessors such as Supabase (database and authentication) and Vercel (hosting; and analytics if you opt in). Their processing is governed by their respective terms and privacy policies.
Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, unless a longer period is required by law. Public study content may remain visible according to how the Service is designed.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal data, or to object to processing. Contact us (below) to make a request. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
